About Jon Walton, L. Ac
Jonathan Walton has graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine with a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition. He spent his internship at their free Chicago Clinic seeing up to 14 patients a day for issues that ranged from infertility, joint pain and arthritis and diabetic. He is now a Board Certified Acupuncturist and is licensed by the state of Illinois. During his training he learned Tui Na (Chinese) and Shiatsu (Japanese) Massage, as well as Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and herbology.
While at Midwest, Jon researched the effects of acupuncture and herbology on the endocrine system, including the conditions of hypo/hyperthyroidism, infertility and diabetes mellitis In addition he studied acupuncture, herbology and acupressure as they relate to sports medicine and traumatology. He spends his free time hiking in the woods, teaching Jujutsu at Fujin Dojo and practicing Qi Gong and Taoist Yoga.
